Hannah Wright

Manager – West Cumbria

Hannah Wright is site manager for Growing Well West Cumbria, bringing expertise in project management, green social prescribing, community engagement and mental health support. She supports the Egremont team and is responsible for the day-to-day running of activities.

Angela Foster

Mental Health Support Coordinator

Angela has a background in Occupational Therapy specialising in mental health and a Diploma in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH). Angela has integrated gardening into her past OT practice, and worked in specific therapeutic horticulture projects both in the UK and Canada.

Rachel Pike

Activity Lead (Growing)

Rachel is an experienced gardener and support worker with a passion for horticulture and person-centred support, bringing experience from both commercial growing enterprises and care environments. She combines her skills in horticulture education, therapeutic gardening and individual support to create an inclusive and engaging space for beneficiaries.

Debbie Bethell

Activity Lead (Growing)

Debbie is a qualified Social and Therapeutic Horticulture practitioner with over 20 years’ experience supporting people through gardening and nature-based activities. She has strong experience leading inclusive, person-centred horticultural sessions for mental health and wellbeing, and coordinating people in supportive learning environments.

Rachel Rees-Middleton

Activity Lead (Growing)

Rachel is a qualified teacher and has hands-on experience of developing market gardens for community access and use. She is experienced in group dynamics and coordinating volunteers in horticultural learning activity.

Katherine Hercberg

Activity Lead (Growing)

Kat developed her horticultural skills while serving as a support volunteer at Growing Well, before progressing to the role of Activity Lead. In addition, she volunteers as a Wellness Walks Leader, further enhancing her experience in supporting and engaging individuals. She is passionate about the healing aspect of nature and getting outdoors.

Matt Nevett

Cook / Lunchtime Assistant

Matt has a diverse background in hospitality, catering, and community-driven initiatives, with experience ranging from event catering to volunteer-led food projects. Now a Kitchen Assistant at Growing Well, he applies his culinary skills and passion for sustainable food to support mental well-being through nutritious meals and teamwork.
